Immerse yourself in the Atlantic. Mungo Murphy’s Seaweed Co. transforms raw seaweed from Irish waters into premium skincare and spa gifts — potent, oceanic, and deeply sustainable. Their story is salt and wind, innovation and tradition.
Sea-Bag
Immerse yourself in the restorative power of the sea with this compact Sea-Bag from Ireland’s west coast. Containing 50 g of Laminaria digitata, it transforms your bath or shower into a spa-like ritual — helping to detoxify, boost circulation, smooth the skin and ease muscle tension. Simply steep the bag in hot water and use it either as a soak or gentle scrub. Perfect for body care, and especially suited to those seeking natural support for skin-concerns and tired muscles.
How to use: Place the Sea-Bag in very hot or boiling water to release the seaweed’s beneficial compounds, then use in the bath or shower — you can also rub the bag over your skin as an exfoliating tool. The bag may be reused for a second bath.
Nourishing Seaweed Mask
Unveil smoother, fresher skin with this mineral-rich seaweed mask from Ireland’s wild Atlantic waters. The powder of Ascophyllum nodosum works deep to cleanse and detoxify, while replenishing the skin’s natural nutrients. Simply blend with a natural base (oil, honey, yogurt or water) and apply for a spa-style experience at home — your skin will look firmer, more balanced and brilliantly revived.
How to use: Mix 1 teaspoon of the powder with about 1 tsp of oil, honey, natural yoghurt or water. Apply to your face, leave for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with warm water, gently scrubbing as it rinses off.
When you gift Mungo Murphy’s, you’re giving a piece of the Atlantic — sustainable, Irish, potent. A gift that opens dialogue, brings ritual, and honours the sea.
Who they are & where they are based
Located in Connemara / Galway Bay on Ireland’s Atlantic edge, Mungo Murphy’s was founded by Cindy O’Brien and expanded with her daughter Sinead. Their operations blend wild harvesting and regenerative aquaculture, all rooted in Irish marine heritage.
Sustainability, Science & Sea Magic
This is seaweed done right:
• They harvest seaweed such as Ascophyllum nodosum from pristine Atlantic waters and also grow seaweed in land‑based aquaculture systems, reducing pressure on wild stocks.
• The farm uses renewable energy (including a wind turbine) and closed systems to minimise waste.
• Their model is circular and regenerative: seaweed and abalone are farmed together, and the ecosystem is managed to recycle nutrients.
• Products are clean, natural and free from unnecessary additives: pure seaweed mask, bath algae powders, and more.
• They run foraging and aquaculture tours, sharing transparency about sourcing and stewardship.
